Ganesh is the Hindu God of prosperity and wisdom, The ceremony consists on chanting and offerings to Ganesh. The offerings include rice, nuts beans and coins that will be blessed and then become the "jar of plenty" for the new year. I will provide the candles and offerings except the coins and I need people to bring their Ganesh or buy one at the store. I will also talk about some fun traditions I have to bring prosperity into the new year.
